Works best for solo shooters. Shots from adjacent lanes can trigger the timer, and very loud rifles may overload a phone mic.
How to use
Tap Test mic and allow the microphone. Fire or clap and set the sensitivity so shots cross the white line but range noise does not.
Tap START. After a random delay the phone beeps. Shoot your string.
Tap STOP. Review the string, delete any false shots, and the splits recalculate.
Settings
Echo lockout: after a shot, sounds within this time are ignored so echoes and steel ring are not counted twice. Very fast doubles closer than this will count as one shot.
Par time: a second beep sounds at the par time.
Instant start: the beep sounds right away.
Tips
Turn the phone volume all the way up. Keep the phone on you or near you, mic side out.
iPhone: while the mic is on, iOS can play the beep quieter. Use Test beep before you shoot. If it is too quiet, try a Bluetooth speaker or wired earbuds. Turn off silent mode.
If the mic was blocked: iPhone Settings → Safari → Microphone, or tap the “aA” / lock icon in the address bar → Website Settings. Android Chrome: tap the lock icon → Permissions → Microphone.
Add to Home Screen to use it like an app. Times are saved on this phone only.
